Announcing Openings In Our Inclusive Preschool

Savio Sprouts Preschool is licensed by the Department of Health Services (DHS) and serves children of staff members from our onsite childcare program, Next Step early intervention clients preparing to enter an academic setting, and children from the greater community.

We believe there is a critical link between a child’s early experiences and his or her later success in life. Our goal is to assist children in becoming “lifelong learners” and provide opportunities to develop in all areas of development including social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language. We provide a high-quality learning environment that is rich with opportunities for exploration, socialization and growth for each child in the classroom, regardless of ability.

PROGRAM DETAILS

LOCATION: On St. Dominic Savio Academy’s campus in Chandler

HOURS: Full Time: Monday through Friday, 7:45 am- 3:30 pm, year-round. Part-Time: Monday through Friday, 9 am- 1 pm, year-round.

CLASS SIZE: We maintain a 3-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio with a maximum of 18 students

AGES: Savio Sprouts serves children ages 3 to 5 who are potty trained

INCLUSION: Our model of inclusion is designed to teach and support every student in the classroom: children with autism from SDSA’s early intervention clinic, Next Step, children of SDSA staff members, and children from the greater community.

HIGHLY TRAINED STAFF: The preschool is directed by Michelle Hill, who holds over twenty years of early childhood education experience. Our low student-to-teacher ratio allows children to work on individualized programming.

MICHELLE HILL, AAS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

SAVIO SPROUTS PRESCHOOL DIRECTOR

[scroll-box]Michelle has been providing early childhood education for 22 years. She has over 100 hours of training classes in early childhood education and will graduate with her associate’s degree in early childhood education in May 2024. Michelle ran an in-home licensed childcare before relocating to Arizona in 2021 for her husband’s job. She started with St. Dominic Savio Academy as the Toddler teacher in May 2021, then became the Lead Preschool Teacher in September 2022 before being promoted to the Director of Childcare in Preschool in January 2023. Michelle is passionate about providing a loving, nurturing environment where children feel free to be themselves, explore, and learn. She is loved by all the children in our childcare and preschool, along with their parents, and provides an exceptional experience for all.[/scroll-box]
